Having my first baby at home was something I really wanted to do, but I wasn't sure how that all would go. When I first met with Jennifer I immediately felt super comfortable and at ease. She answered all my questions/concerns and at each appointment I just felt like I was talking with a friend that had my interests in mind. I felt very supported and heard with what I wanted out of my birth experience. Jennifer and her team were amazing and they kept me calm through my labor that took awhile to get started, and they were a great support throughout the birthing experience. I would definitely recommend Wellborn Upstate for a home birth.

My husband and I started looking into having a home birth when we found out we were pregnant with our first child. We knew a few people that had had home births, but it still seemed kind of scary (especially for first timers), yet everything about the homebirth option intrigued us. We had LOTS of questions and my husband and I brought them all to our first consultation with Jennifer. She was very gracious to hear all of our questions. We appreciated her confidence and honesty in all her answers. She didn’t sugarcoat things, yet she had a great since of humor. By the time we left, my husband and I both knew that homebirth was what we wanted to do and Jennifer was who we wanted to have by our side.

Fast forward 9 months….through all the prenatal checks, Jennifer and her team were always very thorough and willing to answer our continuing lists of questions.

I had a rather long labor (spanned over 3 days) and Jennifer had the confidence and encouragement we needed to get us through to the end. She also had the wisdom to know what to do to help my labor progress as it needed to.

Even after the birth, the midwives are just getting started! They make sure you, baby, and your partner are well taken care of and cleaned up. They clean up EVERYTHING, like no one was ever there. They even did laundry and dishes for us! Their hard work made our immediate postpartum experience so peaceful.

I had always thought that midwives were only there for the birth. But that’s the farthest thing from the truth. They are there all throughout the pregnancy, labor, birth, and another 6 wks postpartum.

I believe Jennifer and her team’s goal is to make sure that each momma and partner are cared for, and given all the needed information to make logical and informed decisions concerning their baby. And she is there to support you in those decisions.

My husband and I are so thankful for Jennifer’s help, support and laughter through this whole experience! We look forward to working with her for future pregnancies!

I was so grateful that my fiancé and I found Jennifer. From the first phone call we had I knew she was going to be the perfect match for me. She’s so easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I instantly felt comfortable around her and knew I could trust her to help me deliver my baby. I highly recommend her and we will definitely be back for baby number 3.

Jennifer and her team helped me through my second pregnancy and birth. This was my first midwife and homebirth experience and it was far better than my firstborns hospital birth. The hospital made me feel rushed and pressured me into position that I was uncomfortable laboring and delivering in which caused me to have a 3rd degree tear. With Jennifer I was able to labor and deliver the way my body and baby were telling me to. No tearing and no nurses waking me up but she was always there if i had any questions or concerns . It was also nice to know exactly what i was getting and what it would cost before the delivery, instead of an unpredictable hospital bill.i could not have asked for a better pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience. This midwife team truly cares for you and your baby.

Jennifer (the midwife at this practice) is such an incredible care provider and lactation consultant, and overall just a great human. We are SO grateful to have had her support for our first pregnancy, home birth and post partum experience. The care and attention she gives to her clients is unmatched. As a first time mom, grade A planner/worrywart AND choosing a home birth for my first child, you could expect that I’d have 7,000 questions at every prenatal appointment. Jennifer answered every question I had (big or small), put my new mama heart at ease copious times, and she never once dismissed my concerns or rushed me during an appointment. I have always felt seen and heard as a client of Jennifer’s, and plan to have all of my babies with Wellborn in the future! 💜 I’d recommend her to all of my friends and family interested in midwifery care or home birth!

I came to Jennifer about halfway into my pregnancy with our third child and if I had to have anyone help bring a baby into this world, it would be her. I felt safe and supported and comforted throughout our prenatal care, homebirth, and postpartum. I always felt like I was in good hands and that I had a voice. Which was so important to me. I felt my well-being was cared for, I struggled a bit mentally. Jennifer is simply amazing. My fiancé and I both agree our chapter of having babies is closed, but if that changes, I couldn’t imagine having a baby without her! Highly recommend Wellborn Upstate to anyone in need of a MidWife!

I loved Jennifer and Her team! They were so caring at every single appointment and especially through my labor. It was my first home birth and they made me feel very confident in my self to be able to do it! They gave me good advice on how to keep my body healthy as well as the baby getting all the nutrition we both needed. I love how they were so gentle caring when my baby was born instead of being really rough. If I ever have any more babies I would definitely go back to using them for my future pregnancies.

As a new father, I have great respect for Jennifer and her team. My wife had some pregnancy complications that Jennifer handled with such calmness and ease. She knew how to answer all of our questions and has been a huge help with showing my wife how to nurse. She also encouraged me during the birth of our son by being a strong support and reassuring my decisions. Her communication is concise, and I have valued her through this process.

We LOVED our experience with Jennifer and the Wellborn staff! I started my care with her late in pregnancy (34 weeks), and she went above and beyond to serve us in that short amount of time. Jennifer is well-educated, extremely kind, and really roots for the birth plan that the parents desire. Plus, her experience as a lactation consultant has been so helpful for this first time mom. She is always encouraging, prompt to respond to calls/texts, and trustworthy. Would 100% use her again for our second child!

I cannot say enough good things about Jennifer. She has walked with us through 2 pregnancies and births, each with their own unique complications and joys, and has become a trusted friend in the process. She is professional, knowledgeable, and confident in her skills and has compassion and genuine interest in each of her clients. We truly love her, both as a person and a professional.

Jen helped us navigate the crazy world of the Covid shut down and with me transferring at 30 weeks. She was kind but honest with me about the reality of what we needed to know about a home birth.

I’m so grateful for her kindness and patience with me as a new mom. She made our birth so special and captured our baby’s footprints and even made us the cutest little card!

It is rare in life to meet someone who is as dedicated and hard-working as Jennifer. When not attending a birth, she is often working late at night, responding to emails and doing behind-the-scenes work to take care of the families she serves. This is so much more than a job for her and she throws her entire being into the work she does. I have seen firsthand how deeply she cares for her clients and how she goes above and beyond to ensure they feel safe and heard through each step of their pregnancy journey. She is kind, compassionate, and personable, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into the birth space. She balances all that this job requires with such grace and love.

I admire the way the Wellborn team protects the moment right after birth. They don't rush in, but carefully watch from a distance to allow the family uninterrupted time to bond. You will never have that first moment with your baby again so being able to savor meeting your little one for the first time is something you'll remember forever.

As a birth photographer, she has always made me feel like a welcomed part of the birth team. She understands that if a family has asked me to be present it is because they value having these once-in-a-lifetime moments documented. Her team works seamlessly with me in a way that allows me to do my job to the very best of my ability. Wellborn births are such a joy and I always look forward to working alongside them. When I refer a client to Wellborn, I have total confidence that they will be well-cared for.

It is so important you pick the right birth team and I am so thankful I picked Jennifer! I had my final post-birth appointment with her this past week and I never thought I would miss this process once it was complete, but I do! That speaks VOLUMES of how amazing this whole experience has been for me which is such a stark contrast from my previous experience. Jenn and my birth team helped make my home water birth incredible, magical, empowering… everything I could have hoped it would be and so much more! If God decides to bless us with another little one in the future, we look forward to using her again.

Jennifer is absolutely AMAZING! Her extensive background and knowledge is what compelled me to schedule a consultation with her. After our consultation I knew I wanted her as our midwife. She and her team made my pregnancy and birth a dream! Being a new mom I had loads of questions and concerns. She made sure to address all my anxieties, calmed me when needed, and never made me feel as if I was being rushed. Jennifer is so patient and kind. She helped me monitor my blood pressure near the end of my pregnancy and always had advice on things I could do to keep it lowered. Lord willing she will be my midwife of choice for all my babies. This was our first time having a home birth. And this was our third child. We are so glad and so thankful to have found Jennifer and her team. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did. They were so respectful and attentive to all our needs. We felt like we were in safe and trustworthy hands! We couldn’t have asked for a better team! We couldn’t have done this without them. Our baby is happy and healthy, thanks to their care and support! Jennifer and her team are very well educated in what they do. I recommend them to all my friends and family members who are pregnant or planning to have kids! It is such a blessing to have them and to know they are helping so many families!

This was my first time giving birth, and I couldn't have had a better birth experience with anyone else. Everyone was so helpful and attentive and gave me the space and energy I needed while in labor. I can't wait to do it all again someday if that's in my future.

This was our first homebirth experience. We are so glad Jennifer was our midwife. She is very knowledgeable and has a great team. We are so glad we found her. Definitely will be coming back to her in the future if we have any more children. Highly recommend her.

I had my first homebirth with wellborn and absolutely loved Jennifer and her team! The only downside is after your six week postpartum appointment you don’t get a scheduled time once a month to hang out with them lol. All jokes aside, these ladies are SO knowledgeable about all things pregnancy, labor & birth, will always respond quickly & factually to all your dramatic/hormonal/panic texts about the joys of pregnancy, and surround you with incredible care & love at your birth.

This was my 3rd baby but very first unmedicated home birth and 1 month later I'm still over joyed from my overall experience. Jennifer is the most caring , knowledgeable and overall sweetest medical professional I've ever come across. I interviewed a few different midwives and once I met her, it was literally meant to be. I looked forward to all my prenatal appts (for me, they lowkey were therapy sessions), unlike a regular OB setting. She was so thorough and left no stone unturned to make sure she was up to date on everything I was going thru during pregnancy. From my physical to emotional state, she touched base on everything, every single time. I always felt like the center of attention and tended to. Even her office had such a calm, cozy and peaceful vibe, I loved it. I truly believe her approach to prenatal care is what attributed to my fast and easy labor/postpartum recovery. Completely a night and day difference from my two hospital deliveries. I was determined to have an all natural home birth and I'm forever grateful and thankful to Jennifer and her team Kirsten and Makayla (who by the way were awesome) for helping me make that happen. They'll always have a special place in my heart, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We delivered our second born at home with Jennifer and her amazing Wellborn assistants. My baby became breech last minute and Jennifer was able to point me to the right people and techniques to successfully flip her. She also never made me feel less of a mom for being plus size/having a high bmi. We loved her humor and energy. As well as her natural and healthy approaches to monitoring my pregnancy (especially with the glucose test). This was my second home birth, but with a different labor. I have never felt more pampered and supported. I had hands to hold, heard encouraging words and had amazing guidance. Jennifer was very clear with me on what I needed to do to bring my 9lb baby girl out safely, but spoke in a calm and positive manner. She was very comforting, as well as educated. I trusted her completely and felt like I was in the best hands. Her patience was outstanding and I was very fortunate to have had her at my birth. I know that If I hadn’t have had a home birth, with her knowledge and experience. I would have had many unnecessary interventions. She made sure she was respectful of my birth plan as well as adapting when things changed. She was good at explaining why and how we were going to help me through tough contractions and plateaus in my labor. I had trouble progressing and the girls had so many amazing techniques to get me through those hurdles. Everyone at wellborn trusted me in my labor, and helped give me the birth my baby and I needed. Safe and sound and very comfortable. My husband laughs because he says he couldnt believe how not only did they help through every step in a 9 hour labor, but how fast they cleaned the place up! There was a birth tub and all the other wonderful birth messes haha and the next thing he knew it was like we never even had a baby at home! They even had our bed made! Her assistants Kirsten and Makayla were so kind, and so knowledgeable, I'm very happy they were there with me that day. What an amazing birth team! We are forever grateful for Wellborn ♡ thankyou Jennifer for all that you do!

Jennifer is an incredible midwife, she has an amazing staff. They make sure you and your baby are well. She is available for any questions and gives her best to make your journey in pregnancy as well as delivery the most enjoyable. Jennifer delivered my second baby boy, and it was my first experience with a midwife. I am so grateful to have meet her and that she was part of this beautiful and great moment in our family. Jennifer is amazing! Highly recommend and I wish I could give her more stars. Jennifer is professional yet personable, super knowledgeable in her field and went the distance to help us with our breastfeeding and lactation needs for our baby. She also diagnosed our son with a lip and tongue tie when our pediatrician and multiple visits with a Lactation Consultant did not even consider a tie as something that was preventing our baby’s ability to latch - Jennifer’s diagnosis and the revision helped with his latch and got us down a better path with feedings. My only regret is not working with Jennifer sooner.

Jennifer came to the rescue when we thought our newborn had lip & tongue ties. She gave us lots of help fixing his latch and helping him relax with massage. And our experience with the release of the ties was wonderful as well.

Jennifer Stewart has delivered both of our babies, and has done a wonderful job! We had complications with a hemorrhage with our first, and she was well equipped to handle it calmly and had it stopped and in control before our transport to the hospital for an IV. Our second birth was beautiful and perfect, and we felt so blessed to have her calm presence there as well! It is so nice to actually look forward to prenatal and postpartum visits and to know she cares about our family and takes all our questions and concerns seriously. Would definitely recommend Wellborn to any mother looking to have a natural and healthy pregnancy and delivery!

We have had the great honor in working with Jennifer over the past 11 months and we couldn't be happier. She gave me the encouragement that I needed through my pregnancy as well as the labor and birth of our son. She made both my husband and I feel at ease the entire time. She has helped me through a very hard nursing period postpartum. She has such a love and natural ease with mother's and babies. Jennifer is not only an amazing mid-wife but she is simply an amazing person. It is who she is. Some who cares about the family and the wellbeing of the mother and child throughout the whole process of birth. I was not a believer in home birth... I fought it for a long time. But once I met with Jennifer I immediately felt comfortable and truly believed we were in great hands. I now have a beautiful and healthy boy. For us the birth was so well handled and free of stress. This woman, is amazing! After a traumatizing birth, with my 5th daughter we chose to do a home birth. My daughter had gotten stuck while she was coming out, do to the doctors not allowing me to push her out correctly. Me & my husband we’re both very scared & nervous. We put our trust into Jennifer & she completely amazed us, she was not only my midwife but what felt like a friend I could have a Conversation with for hours. We had a water birth & I was very scared my daughter was going to get stuck, but Jennifer continued to remind me that everything is okay, “ you got this “ “ you can do this” my Doula‘s we’re also amazing very kind , & sweet I am so blessed to have those women as my doulas. My husband caught our daughter & it went so smooth. Jennifer was so supportive no judgment from her, I felt so comfortable. if it was not for her I’m not sure I would have had the confidence & strength I needed to get my daughter here with out fear. This is our last baby but if we ever did have another one, I would do a home birth, & would come right back to Jennifer. She is truly an amazing person, god new what he was doing when sent us to her.

Being a mother of 14 with 10 of those born at home, and a grandmother of 22, all but one delivered by midwives, I feel compelled to promote people like Jennifer Stewart at Wellborn. I've had the pleasure of seeing her in action at several of my daughters’ births, and I can say she is very professional and knowledgeable, but at the same time, not pushy but fun! Jennifer brings her years of experience to help you have the best possible outcome. She's a joy to work with! My only regret is that when she moved back home to start Wellborn Upstate, Southern California lost one of our best midwives!

I can’t say enough about not only Wellborn Upstate but Jennifer Stewart. She is not just my midwife but my dear friend. You are not just a patient, check vitals, check baby and done. That’s one of the many things that made me reconsider having a hospital birth. I felt like just another patient. But with Jennifer I felt cared for. She cared for my overall wellness. She has caught 3 of my babies, all different pregnancies, all different deliveries but Jennifer’s professionalism and the need to make me feel comfort even was I was a little anxious during labor and that everything was ok with both my body laboring and baby’s well being. Since she got to know me, she knew I needed the extra encouragement. Not only was Jennifer my favorite but my kids’ too! She is not just making an impact to help mothers deliver their babies naturally but coming alongside parents and helping their siblings understand life is beautiful and birth is natural.

Her expertise are a wide range of experience and she should right a book. But she’s caught big babies, mine, 13.3lbs and 24inches long, and took charge gently when my placenta would not deliver. She was ready for it all, and does it well! Anyone that has Jennifer for a midwife would be blessed by her!!

Jennifer is just an awesome midwife! She was very accommodating to all of our needs and addressed all of our concerns and made me and my wife feel at ease at having our son born in the comfort of our own home. There was never a moment where we felt that we were not in good hands. She was great through out the whole process from the initial meetings to post partum care... and the best part of it all is that we gained a great friend in the end! Highly recommended!

Once you have a home birth...you never go back! And when I was new to the area and unexpectedly pregnant with our 5th baby...we knew we had to find a midwife. I interviewed several midwives and nothing really felt right until I found Jennifer Stewart. From the moment she arrived at my home, I knew she was the midwife for me! With her care, I had a very healthy pregnancy and she brought so much peace and joy to our home when she was there for our prenatal appointments. She was a wonderful birth coach, supporting both my husband and I, while I worked through my hardest labor to date! She helped me feel comfortable, confident and empowered to birth my son safely at home. More then that, she was an incredible resource and support to me, as I endured a really difficult breastfeeding situation that I had never faced with my previous children. She coached me through many difficulties I encountered throughout the first 6-8 months of my sons life and I attribute my success in nursing my son for 20 months, to her unwavering support. Her expansive knowledge and wisdom in her field, is only surpassed by her heart for her clients and passion for what she does. She is a gift to all who know her!

Jennifer is an amazing midwife! She has delivered my last two of seven children. She provides excellent personal care and I wouldn't bring another baby into the world without her!

Jennifer is an amazing, attentive, and adaptable midwife.  My first home birth was with my 6th child, and I had lots of fears and questions after dealing with only the medical model with my first 5 children. She was awesome at calming those worries and answering all of my questions and concerns.  It was extremely important to me to have a praying midwife also, and after interviewing her, we knew she was a perfect match for our family. She even graciously ate the dry lentils I served her for lunch. :D I had a very complicated delivery with that first birth with her, and her quick action, experience and determination is why my son is still here with us. We also had our 7th baby with her and wouldn't have chosen any one else to help us bring a baby into this world again. <3

We had Jennifer at Wellborn serve us at the homebirth of our third [and now fourth!] child, and her presence was invaluable. She provided gentle professional support throughout pregnancy and labor, for both myself personally, and our entire birth team. Her knowledge base and years of experience allowed me to relax and trust her to take the lead. This was especially important to me as a person who has issues with letting others take the driver's seat! I was blessed by her presence, and can't imagine having another baby without her. We (my husband and I) highly recommend her to anyone looking for a midwife.

I couldn't ask for any better way to have our baby. The care we received right through the pregnancy was amazing. Professional and yet very warm and friendly. Each appointment was great, if we had questions or concerns Jennifer was always ready with great advise or an answer. The birth was handled so calm and encouraging. I would definitely suggest these wonderful midwives to friends or family.

Jennifer attended the last 4 of our 6 births including dealing with some significant hemorrhaging at two of them. Her skill and calm are exceptional.

I felt a connection with Jennifer at our first meeting. Her friendly personality and expertise are so reassuring and really made me feel confident. I have had her attend two of my 8 births and I can’t imagine ever using another midwife!

These midwives are unmatched. I've met midwives through 4 pregnancies in multiple states. My personal experience is with Jennifer and I truly can't speak highly enough of her. I met her in California for a one-off appointment as we traveled the states and received the kind of care you'd expect from someone you'd trusted your entire pregnancy to. Just over a year later she delivered my next pregnancy in SC...she caught a lip and tongue tie that would have discouraged me from nursing QUICKLY, she heard a little heart thing and wasn't hesitant to keep an eye on it, she prayed with me through labor and no doubt for me while I wasn't listening, she connected with my family on a deeply personal level, and she heard my anxieties through my creative adjectives and addressed them professionally and kindly. The kind of love felt through the prenatal and postpartum sessions (not appointments because I'm often states away) is the kind of love that truly helps you see she has a passion beyond her talents...both are amazing. I've never met another midwife who is so in tune with what's going on. I would highly recommend Jennifer for all the services she offers that you could possibly need. God has a really awesome way of bringing people together, and if she's been brought into your life, you will be blessed beyond measure.
